Day 1: Win Lord Lansbury’s Christmas Wedding and a stay at the Dandelion Hideaway

It’s day one of our 12 Days of Christmas competition and we really hope you’ll be back every day in the lead up to Christmas, to win lots of great books and some equally amazing prizes. To start us off, today you can win Lord Lansbury’s Christmas Wedding by Helen Dickson and a stay at the Dandelion Hideaway in Leicestershire…

We fail to see how anyone (lord, lady or otherwise) could fail to fall in love at the vintage chic Bluebells at The Dandelion Hideaway in Leicestershire. It’s proud to have hosted the most romantic proposals and anniversaries, as well as a recent wedding. With this amazing prize, you’ll get to recreate the romance from a Mills and Boon novel by ditching mobile phones for welly boots, or glamping glamorously by making the most of your roll top bath and private, secluded wood burning hot tub.

You’ll get to snuggle up in the massive sleigh bed and its fluffy goose down duvet, stargaze and awaken to the sound of birdsong, a whistling kettle and the wind rustling in the trees. In the day you can explore the gorgeous National Forest, buy souvenirs in Market Bosworth or even visit the National Space Station. There is nothing un-romantic about the Dandelion.

WIN A FABULOUS GLAMPING BREAK FOR TWO AT THE VINTAGE-CHIC DANDELION HIDEAWAY

The award winning  Dandelion Hideaway in Leicestershire has hosted imaginative proposals, awesome anniversaries and intimate dreamy wedding receptions – with just a little help from the farmer’s wife. It will bring out the romance in everyone!

Ditch the high tech world for the ultimate in glamorous camping in idyllic countryside. A handful of secluded, candlelit canvas cottages include Bluebells, just for two, with an enormous sleigh bed, roll top bath and wood burning stove, which comes with its own little treehouse and wood burning hot tub. Inside there are billowing toile de jouy curtains and retro furnishings. Outside there is a huge veranda to spend lazy days reading penguin classics, listening to the gramophone, playing board games and star gazing, with only the sounds of birdsong, the whistling kettle and the wind rustling in the trees.

Local supplies can be bought from the farm’s own Cow Shed Stores, including cheese and milk from the delightful goats on the farm.  Start the day collecting freshly laid eggs from the hens and finish by toasting marshmallows over the camp fire.

Nearby Market Bosworth has great places to eat. Explore the National Forest by bike or visit the topical Battle of Bosworth exhibition, the National Space Centre, castles galore and more.

The Dandelion Hideaway is open from to Easter to end October.

MECHANIC/SOCIAL MEDIA

Not sure if you will pick the winner out of the technology “hat”?

If not, a thought would be to pose the question – Who you would like to share the hot tub at The Dandelion Hideaway with?

Or what will you be celebrating in Bluebells?

Both could generate fun social media stories.
