Love to Write Shortlist: Meet Sue Cook

Earlier this year we ran our #LoveToWrite writing competition in conjunction with Prima magazine. We are absolutely thrilled with the amount of submissions received and the high quality of writing. The winner will become a published Mills & Boon author and have their first chapter published in Prima Magazine later this year accompanied by an interview. Our fabulous judges had the difficult task of picking the Top submissions for our final 8 shortlist finalists.

Meet Sue Cook

…we’re desperate to see her wonderful characters get the Happy Ever After they deserve!

Name: Sue Cook

Occupation: Freelance GP

Location: West Pennines of England

Why I love to write: I started writing poems about rugby when I was at school. Eventually I realised there is more to men than standing on muddy fields in the rain and wind watching them throw balls about. Now I write women’s fiction which gives me an excuse to stay indoors where it is warm and dry, and avoid doing housework. I also get to meet interesting writers online and share work and life with them which is a great antidote to the day job.
