Earlier this year we ran our Love to Write writing competition in conjunction with Prima magazine. The winner will get their book published by Mills & Boon and the first chapter of their book published in Prima’s September issue. We received a huge amount of very high level content. Our fabulous judges reviewed the submissions to find the next Mills & Boon bestseller. Now the judges have whittled down the submissions to the fabulous top 8!
Meet Suzanne Jones
…she had us rooting for a Happy Ever After!
Name:Suzanne Jones
Location:I live in Scotland with my husband and daughter.
Occupation: I work as a clerical officer, providing admin support to nurses.
Why I love to write: I love the magic of creating characters and situations and places that didn’t exist outside my own head before my words hit the screen. I’ve wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember. As a child, I was always scribbling in notebooks, and when I fell in love with my first Mills and Boon aged fourteen, I knew I wanted to write similar stories. I sent my first submission when I was sixteen – and received a very kind and detailed rejection. I kept going, though – and through good times and bad, writing has always been a constant in my life. Even after all this time I still haven’t quite let go of the dream of maybe one day being published by Mills and Boon and I was thrilled when I found out my entry had been shortlisted in this competition.
