#TheRomantics Awards 2015 Round Up

On Wednesday night we held the first ever Mills & Boon Romantics Awards!

What a fabulous night! As you can imagine with awards that have been set up to celebrate all things romantic, there was an awful lot of love in the room. Held on the 17th floor of the News Building in London Bridge, the 30 most romantic finalists in the world, along with our judges, who are all experts in the field of love and romance, were treated to an evening with spectacular views over London.

Wearing a gloriously pink playsuit, our wonderful host was author and TV presenter Jemma Forte.

First to win was Clos Maggiore, the beautiful French restaurant in Covent Garden, for ‘The Most Romantic Restaurant’.

Winners of the ‘The Most Romantic Experience’, and still very obviously in love, were couple Helen and Jenkyn Knill with their boat the Lady Lena.

‘The Most Romantic Gift’ went to Louise Verity of Bookishly, with her charming literature inspired prints.

Orkney was recognised as ‘The Most Romantic Destination’ and the award was collected by Eric Witham in his Fifty Shades of Grey kilt.

‘Winner of Most Romantic Hero’ was Daniel Fisher for researching his partner Sasha’s Bucket List on Pinterest and secretly organising a surprise trip to Peru to coincide with their 2 year anniversary and Valentine’s Day.

The magnificent Polhawn Fort and Yorebridge House won ‘The Most Romantic Wedding Venue’ and ‘The Most Romantic Venue’ respectively.

While perhaps unsurprising, The View from the Shard won ‘The Most Romantic View’.

‘The Most Romantic Blogger’ was awarded to the brilliantly entertaining 30 Dates Blog while the most beloved book in English was officially recognised as ‘The Most Romantic Classic’, Pride and Prejudice.

New business Bloom & Wild was crowned ‘The Most Romantic Entrepreneur with the ingenious postable bouquets of flowers.

Finally, with the most gorgeous, romantic sunset as a backdrop, the best-selling Mills & Boon author Sharon Kendrick declared Clos Maggiore as the special overall winner’s winner who will be featured in one of her books next year!

The beautiful flowers you can see at the top of the page were kindly provided for all the winners by Roses Only.
