Cathy Williams (author of Wearing the De Angelis Ring – out in January) caught up with us for a coffee and a slice of cake recently to let us in on a few secrets!

  2. Star sign? Scorpio
  3. What coffee would you like? Hmmm… Americano with hot milk
  4. And which cake can we get you? Chocolate!
  5. What’s your earliest childhood memory? Having a tea party with my dog! I could only have been two at the time and he was an Alsatian!
  6. What was your favourite lesson at school? English
  7. If you could invite three people, dead or alive, to a dinner party… my dad, who has been dead for many years, my mum, who is alive and kicking and of course my three children, which sadly adds up to more than three…
  8. What’s your favourite quote? “Dance like no one is watching” because it suggests you should always be free and yourself whatever or whoever the audience.
  9. Do you prefer sunrise or sunset? Sunset – a beautiful time of the day
  10. Love is… contentment when the frantic excitement begins to fade.
  11. What achievement are you most proud of? Three achievements – my children!
  12. Describe what you can see right now? My office and my two dogs playing.
  13. Who’s your favourite writer? John Irving although I’m always tempted by Stephen King!
  14. If you could go back and do it all again, what would you change? Nothing at all.
  15. What’s your favourite flower? Roses
  16. What are your favourite films and books romantic or otherwise? I love The Shawshank Redemption and far too many books to list.
  17. What one piece of advice would you give to aspiring writers? Don’t give up!
  18. Who would play you in a movie about your life? Hmmm…would quite like Judi Dench although we look nothing alike!
  19. Any interesting / fun facts we should know about? I absolutely adore my two dogs and they’re allowed everywhere, much to the disgust of my kids!
  20. And finally, the perfect man/woman must have a…The perfect man must have a keen sense of humour and an apron which he can put on when he cooks for me! Ha ha.
