The clock is ticking, and with every second we come a little bit closer to the end of the incredible #24HoursinMandB journey. Very soon, we will announce our fabulous winner of this impossibly fast-paced Medical competition…and we can’t wait!
It’s been a spectacular heart-racing, adrenaline-pumping journey for the Medical editors over the last month – and been SO worth it!
It was a simple premise: 1 chapter, 1 day turnaround. And with submissions flooding in from no less than five continents, the interest in Harlequin Medical Romance has never been stronger – and the quality has never been higher. We’ve giggled and gasped as we greedily devoured your sensational chapters…and this year, we’ve received over double the submissions entered in our 2013 Rapid Response Fast-Track, and have requested partials for over a third of these entries!
Submissions closed on Friday 24th April, and on Monday 28th we announced our top 3 chapters; the wonderful A Doctor, A Daddy…A Husband by Catherine Coles, the sensational Runaway Heart Surgeon by Marie Timlin and the fabulous Midwife Under Cover by Marie-Louise Steyn.
In a nail-biting finish that mirrored the excitement of the submissions, we’ve received over 200 hundred votes for your favourites. The three chapters have been battling for the top-spot, and it’s been neck-and-neck…often with only a few votes between them! It’s certainly clear that the quality of each author’s writing has been exceptional.
And now, as the voting closes and the Medical Team does the final tally, hold onto your hats – one author is about to receive a 6 month editorial mentorship!
Thank you all for your support during #24HoursinMandB, whether you be author or reader – you are invaluable to our stunning Medical series, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
