Who doesn’t love a story about confirmed bachelors? Or how about re-confirmed bachelors? The idea of a return-to-bachelorhood is where the inspiration for my newest duet, New York Bachelor’s Club, came from. These books tell the stories of two close friends, both of whom have recently come out on the losing end of love.
Kaleb Sabat and Snowden Tangredi get together for drinks on the evening of Snow signing his divorce papers. Kaleb has also just ended a relationship. They decide they are done. Done with love. Done with committed relationships. Done with women altogether. They are going to hold each other accountable, this time—so what could go wrong? What indeed…
Here’s the funny thing about resolutions. They seldom work out the way people expect them to. At least that’s how it is for me. All of my best–intentioned promises to eat healthier, to exercise more, to weed my garden every day might last for a month or two, and then…oopsie! Something comes along and stops me from succeeding in my goals. And it’s no different for Kaleb and Snow, who each have their own “oopsie” moment when they are in the wrong place at the wrong time…with the wrong (or should I say right) woman.
There is something about deserving people getting their happy ending that can leave me teary-eyed. Especially when obstacle after obstacle threatens to snatch away the possibility of happiness. So I was very excited to journey with Kaleb and Snow as they charted their individual courses and then promptly veered off track. Not because of obligations or because they didn’t have each other’s backs. They did. Absolutely. But love tends to be an unstoppable force that can break through the strongest barriers of the heart.
I truly hope you enjoy reading the two books that make up New York Bachelor’s Club. Will Kaleb and Snow succeed in their resolutions? Or will fate intervene and decide they both need something better?
