Love to Write Shortlist: Meet Louise Kerr

Earlier this year we ran our Love to Write writing competition in conjunction with Prima magazine. We are absolutely thrilled with the amount of submissions received for the writing competition and the high quality of writing. The winner will become a published Mills & Boon author and have their first chapter published in Prima Magazine later this year. Our fabulous judges had the difficult task of picking the Top submissions for our final 8 shortlist finalists.

Meet Louise Kerr

… her handsome hero oozed charm!

Name: Louise Kerr

Location: Sunderland in the North East of England

Occupation: Test Analyst in an IT company

Bio: I have two daughters. I’ve been writing for about ten years now and although I’ve had a couple of successes, life always got in the way of it being anything more than a hobby. Now the kids are a bit older I have more time and energy to take it seriously.

Why I love to write: I love writing because it’s a part of me. A dancer dances, a writer writes. If I go too long without writing I get tetchy. It’s like an itch that needs scratching. And when I’m not writing I’m almost definitely thinking about my fictional characters and their worlds instead of the real world and proper adult stuff like cleaning bathrooms and making packed lunches.
