A Mother for the GP’s Son by Annie Claydon

A few words from author Annie Claydon…
Home is more than just a place, isn’t it? It’s the people who remember you still, even if you’ve been away for a while. The welcome we find there, in good times and bad. Home is somewhere that we can thrive, and where impossible dreams sometimes don’t seem out of our reach.
And that’s starting to be a problem for Dan. The home he’s made for his five-year-old son and himself is in the village where Alice grew up. Which just happens to be the one place that she never wanted to come back to, and can’t wait to leave!
It seems an appropriate theme for my fiftieth book, because I’ve found a place where I belong in writing. So working out a way to allow Dan and Alice to find their home together became one of those knotty problems that just had to be solved…
– Annie
Annie’s Editor, Rachael says…
When helicopter medic Dr Alice returns to her small town to pack up her late father’s house, she’s not expecting to meet her father’s mentee, dreamy single dad, Dr Dan! Dan is the first person who really understands what she’s going through – but can she bear to clip her wings if it means a chance at a forever family? Annie Claydon’s fiftieth book for Mills and Boon is a summer dream of sunny days and falling in love that will completely sweep you away!

Bodyguard’s Saint-Tropez Temptation by Bryony Rosehurst

A few words from author Bryony Rosehurst…
Anybody who knows me knows that the bodyguard trope is my absolute favourite, so of course my first book with Mills & Boon had to include it. Positioning a woman as the protector, a role traditionally reserved for men, makes it all the more delicious!
As fiction has always been my biggest form of escape, Sasha and her desperate need to get away from the limelight provided the perfect outlet — especially when I live in Manchester, which is far gloomier than the locations in this book! I hope Bodyguard’s Saint-Tropez Temptation allows readers that same escapism, as well as all the warm and fuzzies the forbidden love trope is best for.
Dani and Sasha’s opposites attract dynamic plays with two extremes: Dani and her sharp stoicism against Sasha’s heartbreaking vulnerability. Forcing them together as they navigate these differences in a dreamy coastal setting that shines a stark light on past and present traumas creates deliciously raw tension, and really dials up the sparks when it comes to chemistry.
If you’re looking for a sun-soaked story of reclaiming your freedom while discovering love in the unlikeliest of places, this story might be for you!
– Bryony
Bryony’s Editor, Binti says…
Readers will be instantly rooting for compelling heroines Sasha and Dani in Bryony Rosehurst’s debut for Love Always: a forced proximity, sapphic bodyguard romance brimming with escapism and longing! The story begins in sun‑drenched Saint‑Tropez, where actress Sasha persuades her gorgeous new bodyguard, Dani, to help her disappear from her exhausting celebrity life.
Bryony’s such an expert at delivering rich emotional depth to her characters, as well as a deliciously intense connection between her heroines. And to top it all, her humour adds a wonderful lightness to the story. This book is just perfect for readers who love a bodyguard romance where duty blurs into desire!

Enemies With Consequences by Michelle Smart

A few words from author Michelle Smart…
Finding out you’re pregnant on the same day your divorce comes through?
Enemies With Consequences encapsulates everything I love about reading and writing for Mills & Boon Modern, with the Cinderella fantasy of being swept off your feet by Prince Charming. Except in this case, it’s a reverse Cinderella, as the poor heroine’s fairy tale dream has fallen to pieces with the realisation that her Prince Charming, the gorgeous Domenico, never loved her and that their marriage was just for his convenience. And now Marnie’s pregnant with his baby, and Domenico is willing to do anything to make her his again!

Michelle’s Editor, Annie says…
I absolutely adore getting to work with Michelle because each of her books guarantees a gorgeous, glamorous, escapist romance with intense chemistry and dialogue that crackles. And Enemies with Consequences delivers all this and more in spades!
When Domenico decided it was time to father the children he always wanted, he chose his meek and obliging PA Marnie as his wife – a woman he knew would never cause him any trouble…or so he thought! When their convenient relationship falls short of Marnie’s romantic dreams, she serves him with divorce papers. Only then does their relationship really begin to heat up, and a furious passion is unleashed! Seeing Domenico meet his match in Marnie, and watching Marnie blossom into the feisty, fiery woman she was born to be was an absolute delight.
I can’t wait for readers to be swept up in an all-consuming attraction that is quite literally unstoppable!

Tempting Ruin With The Duke by Millie Adams

A few words from author Millie Adams…
I’ve always loved reading, and one of my favorite books when I was younger was The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle (though I always lamented the lack of romance). I’ve always loved stories about adventurous young women who were misfits in their own lives. My love of those stories is where Tempting Ruin with the Duke comes from. A chance to write an adventure on the high seas – complete with romance? Yes, please.
Phoebe doesn’t want to get married. To anyone. The idea of being married off to a complete stranger terrifies her. Her older brother’s best friend, Levi Northam, the Duke of Rochester, has always been indulgent of her, but when he finds her stowed away on his ship, dressed as a cabin boy, he isn’t amused. And more than that, he needs to protect her – and her reputation. Which means bringing her into the captain’s quarters to keep an eye on her.
This book was just wonderful, indulgent fun for me to write, with so many ingredients I love as a reader. Which is my ultimate inspiration. Every book I write takes me back to being the reader I’ve always been, getting to play with the kinds of stories I love. What could be better?
– Millie
Millie’s Editor, Flo says…
If you love an unconventional heroine, and a Duke who is driven to distraction – and seduction! – by her, then this is the historical romance for you! When hero Levi realises that his best friend’s little sister has stowed away on his ship, his precious control begins to unravel. Watching him fighting a losing battle against their chemistry is pure, angst-laden joy, I absolutely loved it!
