I always love writing a Christmas story, especially when it’s part of a continuity. It’s always really fun to write alongside the other authors involved and collaborate on creating a world that readers will (hopefully) love. Usually I set my books in all the places I’ve enjoyed travelling to over the years, so it was fun to set one closer to home in York. Our heroine is such a stubborn, yet vulnerable woman who, for reasons you’ll discover, really wants nothing at all to do with Christmas (imagine!)
Then, along comes her colleague and work-rival, who of course, couldn’t love Christmas more. He even has a dog who wins her over, which clearly comes back to my own love of dogs…there’s usually a dog or two featured somewhere in all my stories! This book gave me all the feels while I was writing it, watching them make the festive season cosy together, despite both of their heads telling them they shouldn’t. You can’t argue with your heart at Christmas, now can you? I hope readers enjoy the whole series, and that it gives us all something to snuggle up with this Christmas.
