Like my heroine, I’ve always been fascinated by volcanoes; sadly, the nearest I’ve got to seeing actual lava is a very tiny puff of steam and a whiff of sulphur at Vesuvius, and seeing Eyjafjallajökell on the way to the black basalt beach. So I couldn’t resist giving Joanne a chance to go to Kilauea, and to the volcanic beach at Punalu’u. Like my hero, I’m also fascinated by the night sky, so of course Guy would want to sweep Joanne off her feet and see the amazing stars in the velvety dark skies above Hawaii. Sadly, I’ve never been to Hawaii, so I enjoyed the chance to go there virtually as the setting for THE SURGEON’S TROPICAL TEMPTATION. Given how hot it’s been in the UK lately, my advice is to switch on that fan, make yourself a mai tai, and let Joanne and Guy sweep you away with their tropical romance!
