Mills & Boon Senior Editor Becky Slorach has won the Inclusion Award at this year’s Romantic Novelists’ Association Industry Awards.
The RNA awards celebrate the hard work and talent of any person, group or organisation who has “championed the broad genre of romantic fiction in a positive way”.
The finalists were nominated by the full and probationary membership of the RNA, with a panel of independent judges selecting the shortlists.
The RNA Inclusion Award recognises the individual or organisation that has championed inclusivity in romantic authorship and publishing. It has previously been won by author Julia Cohen.
Inclusion is at the core of the Mills & Boon publishing strategy, and to be recognised within this category reflects our mission to deliver a romance for every reader.
Becky Slorach was recognised specifically for her work on our Love to Write and Romance Includes Everyone initiatives, as well as championing characters from under-represented backgrounds in the romance we publish, such a wheelchair user in Georgia Toffolo’s Meet me series, and LGBTQ+ characters in books by Melissa Lenhardt and Emma Denny.
Please join us in congratulating Becky for her well-deserved win over on Twitter!
